LuneraiScan is a retinal-screening application developed by Nevronus Systems and provided to healthcare organisations together with the Lunera Fundus Cam through Lunera Eye Care. It is not distributed on public app stores.
1. Who controls patient data
The clinic, hospital or programme using LuneraiScan (“the provider”) decides which patients are screened and is responsible for obtaining their consent. Nevronus Systems processes patient data on the provider’s behalf to deliver the service.
2. Information processed
- Operator accounts: name, email and sign-in details of authorised health workers. One device may be signed in per account at a time.
- Patient records: identifiers and details entered by the provider (such as name, age, sex and relevant medical history).
- Retinal images captured with the Lunera Fundus Cam, and the AI screening results and PDF reports generated from them.
- Technical data: device model, app version and error logs to keep the system reliable.
3. How it is used
To capture and store retinal images, run AI screening, produce reports, synchronise records between the device and secure cloud storage, and support and improve the service. De-identified images may be used to improve screening models where the provider’s agreement allows it.
4. Storage and security
LuneraiScan works offline-first: records are stored on the device and synchronised over encrypted connections when online. Access is limited to authorised accounts.
5. Sharing
We do not sell data. We share it only with infrastructure providers needed to run the service, with the provider, and where required by law.
6. Retention and requests
Records are kept for as long as the provider’s agreement requires. Patients should contact the provider that screened them to access or delete their data; providers can contact us at info@nevronus.com.
