Rainbow Runner Privacy Policy
Last updated:
The short version (for grown-ups): Rainbow Runner can be played completely offline with no account. We treat every player as a child. There are no in-app purchases, no chat and no analytics or tracking. The only ads are optional reward videos a player chooses to tap (“double coins” after a run, or “continue” once per run after a bump); they come only from Google AdMob, a Google Play certified ad network, and are child-directed, G-rated and never personalised. We only receive information if someone is signed in to Google Play Games, which shares their Play Games name, avatar and score on the online Top Scores board.
1. Who we are
Rainbow Runner (the “Game”) is published by Nevronus Systems (“Nevronus”, “we”, “us”), Dhaka, Bangladesh. Questions about this policy: info@nevronus.com.
2. Information stored only on your device
To make the Game work, it saves a few small files inside the app’s private storage on your phone. These never leave the device unless you sign in (see section 3):
- Game progress: best score, coins/gems earned in play, unlocked characters, settings.
- A cached copy of the Top Scores list, so it can be shown offline.
- If signed in to Play Games: copies of the Play Games avatars shown on the Top Scores board.
Uninstalling the Game deletes all of this. The Game does not back these files up to the cloud.
3. Google Play Games (optional)
The online Top Scores board uses Google Play Games Services. If the phone’s Google account is signed in to Play Games, the Game may sign in automatically; otherwise a player can choose “Sign in with Play Games” on the Top Scores screen. Playing never requires it. When Play Games is used:
| Data | Why | Who can see it |
|---|---|---|
| Play Games gamer name and avatar | Shown next to your score | Players who view the Top Scores board, as set by your Play Games profile visibility |
| Best score | Ranking | Players who view the Top Scores board |
| Play Games player ID | Marks your own row on the board | Not displayed |
Google stores this data under its own Play Games terms; we do not run our own server and do not receive your email address, password, contacts, or location.
4. What we don’t do
- No personalised or interest-based advertising, and no ads that appear on their own during play.
- No in-app purchases. Coins and gems are earned only by playing and have no real-money value.
- No analytics or crash-tracking SDKs, and we do not collect device identifiers (such as advertising ID).
- We do not sell, rent or share personal information for marketing.
- No chat or messaging between players.
5. Service providers
Online features run on Google services, which process data on our behalf under their own terms:
- Google Play Games Services – player sign-in and the Top Scores board.
- Google AdMob – optional rewarded video ads. Every ad request is tagged as child-directed (COPPA) and limited to G-rated content, so AdMob does not use the advertising ID and does not show personalised ads or remarketing. AdMob may still process limited technical data (such as IP address and device type) to deliver the ad and prevent fraud. See how Google uses information from apps that use its services.
See Google’s Privacy Policy. Data may be stored on Google servers outside your country. All connections use HTTPS encryption.
6. Children and the Google Play Families policy
Rainbow Runner is made for children and is listed on Google Play for a mixed audience that includes children. We do not ask for a player’s age. Instead, we treat every player as a child, so the protections below apply to everyone who plays.
- Child-appropriate content. Everything in the Game is suitable for children: gentle, non-violent gameplay, no chat or messaging, no user-made content, no links out of the Game and no in-app purchases.
- Child-appropriate ads only. Ads appear only when a player chooses to tap a reward button: double coins after a run, or one “continue” after a bump. A “No thanks” choice is always as easy to tap, there is no countdown, and ads never start on their own during play.
- Certified ad network only. Ads are served only by Google AdMob, a Google Play certified ad network for apps in the Families programme. We do not use any other ad network or show any other ads.
- No personalised advertising. Every ad request, in every country, is tagged for child-directed treatment and is limited to G-rated content. Interest-based advertising and remarketing are switched off. The Game does not request or read the device’s advertising ID.
- No personal information collected by us. We do not ask for, collect or store a child’s name, email address, phone number, photo, precise location or contacts. Game progress stays on the device.
- Limited technical data. To deliver a requested ad and prevent fraud, AdMob may process limited technical data such as IP address (used only for approximate, country-level location), device type and app interactions. This data is used only to support the Game’s internal operations and is not used to build a profile of the child or to target ads.
- Play Games is optional. The online Top Scores board uses Google Play Games, which works through the Google account on the phone. Children’s Google accounts are managed by their parents through Google Family Link, and parents decide whether Play Games can be used. The Game works fully without it.
Laws we follow. We design the Game to comply with the US Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including its extra protections for children, and Bangladesh law. We rely on our service providers’ child-directed settings to meet these laws, and we only use SDKs that support them.
Parents’ rights. Parents and guardians can ask us at any time what information relates to their child, ask us to delete it, or refuse further collection. Email info@nevronus.com and we will respond within 30 days. Uninstalling the Game stops all collection and removes everything stored on the device. Play Games data can also be deleted from the Google Play Games app or the child’s Google account.
7. How long we keep data
Leaderboard scores and Play Games profiles are kept by Google while your Play Games account exists. You can delete your Play Games data for this Game, or your whole Play Games profile, from the Google Play Games app or at myaccount.google.com. Uninstalling the Game removes everything stored on the phone.
8. Your choices and rights
- Play without Play Games — no account or profile is needed.
- Never tap a “watch video” button — then no ad is ever shown.
- Change your Play Games profile visibility or sign out of Play Games in the Google Play Games settings.
- Ask us any privacy question at the email above.
9. Security
Online data is sent over encrypted connections to Google. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
10. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date above, and for significant changes we will tell players in the Game or on the store listing.
